Gretna Community Museum

The project repurposes a retired city roads maintenance facility.  The existing one room garage will become an exhibition space for firefighting artifacts and memorabilia.  The addition to the building will consist of a training/conference room, support spaces, and additional gallery space.  New, over sized, technically modern doors are designed to visually mimic historic fire station cart doors.  A relocated bell from the community’s fire station is used as a design feature for the implementation of an entry tower.
