Renovation, Kitchen, Addition, Dining
Location: Omaha, NE Size: 22,000 SF New Cassel Retirement CenterNew Cassel Retirement Center embarked on a project to expand its main dining room from a current 128 seats to accommodate 180 residents. This provides a space for table service, place to store wheel chairs and walkers, an outdoor patio and creation of a bistro serving station as a focal point.
A new dining area and serving line were constructed to give the residents a modern and relaxing space in which to eat. The addition and renovations were strategically phased as the day to day operation of the center needed to stay in operation. The existing kitchen was kept fully functional until the new one was completed so as to provide a seamless transition for daily meals. Coordination with the general contractor and the New Cassel management was integral in the success of this project to minimize disruptions in the day-to-day activities of the residents. Features:
