Industrial Processing Plant

Project Scope
This multi-phased industrial expansion modifies an existing industrial processing facility to accommodate new process equipment. Key elements include:
  • A new elevated structure with support floor and roof above the existing warehouse to house Rotary Filters and Germ Presses.
  • A dedicated new building for the Steepwater Evaporators.
  • Reconfiguration of a portion of the existing warehouse for the Gluten Dryer and new Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO).
  • Addition of a new Motor Control Center (MCC) and Control Room.
  • Required utility modifications and upgrades to support the new installations.
Herrera is responsible for the detailed design of the core and shell components across all phases.  Architectural Services Provided:
  • Building Code Review for full regulatory compliance.
  • Life Safety Plans addressing fire protection and occupant safety.
  • Egress design, including exit routes and accessibility.
  • Rated Separations with appropriate fire-rated assemblies.
  • Pre-application meeting(s) with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to facilitate permitting.
  • Estimate of Probable Cost for the core and shell work.
This architectural package provides a compliant, safe, and cost-effective foundation for subsequent process integration and fit-out.
