Location: Omaha, NE Owner: Private Size: 0 SF Entry Addition Private Residence, Entry Study and AdditionHerrera was retained to embellish the street presence of a mid-century modern home. The neighborhood is a mix of recent an some aged construction. Of the homes that have not been completely replaced, the modifications lean toward a traditional aesthetic. The existing home was not to be modified, however, the entry addition was to provide a welcoming entrance sequence for the owners. Heavy timber framing was used as the primary material with brick and stone playing a supporting role for the design. the walking surface is slate and crushed granite for the new landscaping.
