LOCATION: LINCOLN, NEBRASKA DESIGN ARCHITECT: R. FINDLEY + ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECT SIZE: 35,000 SF Sutton Dermatology + AestheticsHerrera Architecture performed as the executive architect for the project. Primary responsibilities included construction drawings and documentation, material specifications, shop drawing review, and construction administration.
As its visual focal point, the facility features barrel vault roof structure over the double-high volume main waiting room. The vault is kept thin and light by the use of closed cell insulation within the joist depth. Within the facility are physician offices, medical exam rooms, procedure rooms, treatment rooms, sub-waiting areas, employee break and locker rooms, and area on the lower garden level for future expansion or tenant use. The facility takes advantage of the falling grade to provide a true garden level lower level. Features:
